
Mateo Vengoechea, a Colombian-American filmmaker, currently resides in New York. He has been a key team member at NBC News Studios, contributing to the acclaimed documentary series Leguizamo Does America and the true crime staple Dateline.
His career highlights include winning an Emmy as a director and producer of an independent film, earning two Emmys for FIFA World Cup and Olympics coverage during his tenure at Telemundo Sports, and being a scriptwriter for the hit drama Falsa Identidad.
His latest independent venture, The Asylum, received honors at film festivals in North America and Europe and was released in theaters to sold-out crowds.
